THE HOUSE PHILOSOPHY

A name. A place. A house.

I. THE NAME

Wanjiru.
A name carried forward.

House of Ciru draws its name from Wanjiru and its founding story from the Gikuyu and Mumbi tradition. The name connects the house to a specific ground: Runyua, in Gatundu, Kiambu County, Kenya.

The house brings that East African origin into a European commercial setting. Based in Nuremberg, Germany, it focuses on specialty roasters, wholesale partners and hospitality across South DACH.

II. THE PURPOSE

Carry the origin.
Respect the depth.

To connect East African specialty coffee with the South DACH market through precise origin knowledge, direct relationships and the confidence that comes from understanding what the house carries.

01

Origin

The place is the beginning.

Runyua anchors the house. Place, elevation, soil, variety, processing and harvest belong in the product conversation.

02

Depth

A deliberate regional focus.

Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Uganda define the East African sourcing scope. Each relationship should deepen what the house knows.

03

Continuity

A house for the long term.

Seasonal conversations, representative samples and defined quality standards support enduring trade relationships.

TWO EXPRESSIONS. ONE HOUSE.

From origin to encounter.
